My first concert experience was fantastic I remember it like it was yesterday. I was 12 years old and my mom got me and my sister tickets to the Stripped Justified Tour for getting good marks in school. I was so ecstatic you wouldn't believe. I remember counting down the days leading up to it and telling every single person I knew. Of course at that age I loved both Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera so this was practically a dream come true. What made it even better was that it was just going to be me and my sister, no other supervision. I really couldn't ask for anything better this was the best gift my mom ever got me.
On July 31st, 2003 of my mom took my sister and I on the GO Train down to the Air Canada Center. She walked with us through the crowds of young overly excited girls and led us up to the gates. She told us "Have fun, stay together." And we went inside. We were so eager to find our seats and get the show started I remember running down the halls. We found our seats and felt so close to the stage, it seemed like an eternity before the show begun.
The Black Eyed Peas opened for them, and this was before they were firmly established and the only song people knew was 'Where Is The Love?' When Justin and Christina finally came out I honestly don't remember too much, just a lot of screaming, dancing, smoke and lights. I remember though I felt so close to them. When the show was over we met our mom and took the train back home, I was exhausted. I couldn't stop talking about it for weeks after that.
